Effective Feedback
Success Criteria for Effective Feedback- Feedback is most effective when it points out strengths in the work and gives guidance for improvement (Chappuis, 2012)
- Can only follow clear learning goals and success criteria
- Must occur during the learning, not long after (Wiggins, 2012)
- Must be clear and in student friendly language (Wiggins, 2012)
- Allows for the student to see their mistakes, but does not do the thinking for the student (Chappuis, 2012)
- Must include positive notes and next steps
- Must be ongoing and consistent (Wiggins, 2012)
